From the rear photo of this 2009 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan, notice that the license plate holder is located higher up on the trunk (as opposed to being located lower on the vehicle, in the rear bumper.) The license plate holder indent is quite wide, nearly the entire width of the trunk. Also notice that the tail lights stop at the trunk lid, have a very triangular shape and have clear lens covers. This Aveo also has an antenna on the roof, just behind the front windshield. There is also a small spoiler mounted to the top of the trunk that has an integrated center brake light in it.
The front of the 2009 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan has a main grill section between the headlights that is split half-way by a chrome band with a gold Chevrolet "bowtie" emblem in the center. There is also three openings in the lower part of the front bumper that make up the air dam which may have fog lights mounted in the outer two openings. The headlights incorporate the turn signals and wrap around the front corners of the vehicle. Also note that the windshield washers are attached to the hood (not concealed as they are on some vehicles.)
This side photo of the 2009 Chevrolet Aveo Sedan clearly shows how the vehicle's antenna is located on the roof toward the front of the car. It has square fuel filler door located on the passenger side. The rear side windows of a single piece design. The side photo also shows how much the tail lights wrap around onto the side of the car as the come to a steep downward facing point.

Some things that make the 2009 Chevrolet Aveo's appearance unique are:
- Roof mounted antenna located toward the front of the car
- A stubby appearance for a sedan
- Triangular shaped tail lights with clear lens covers
- Square fuel filler door located on the Passenger side
- License plate holder that is mounted on the trunk lid
